These beautiful colorful bags come from Colombia. You might have recognized them if you saw Disney’s Encanto — Mirabel wears one.
These bags are 100% hand made by women of the Wayuu tribe in the northern Guajira desert region of Colombia.
They take 10 or more days to weave by hand and are made of locally harvested cotton.
These bags are traditionally made to be as unique as the weaver who makes them. No two bags are the same pattern. The Wayuu weavers pride themselves in this diversity of patterns and colors.
Further details on these specific bags and where they came from, will be included with each bag when it is shipped to you.
